Purpose of the club/organization. 
 
The National Technical Honor Society currently serves approximately 100,000 active members and nearly a million members since its inception in 1984. Awarding over $1.7 million in scholarships to date, NTHS honors the achievements of top CTE students, provides scholarships to encourage the pursuit of higher education, and cultivates excellence in today’s highly competitive, skilled workforce. For over 30 years, NTHS has been the acknowledged leader in the recognition of outstanding student achievement in career and technical education.
Description of club/organization activities. 
 
Students will be responsible for attending an induction ceremony for all new members which is always held in the Spring.
Requirements of club/organization members. 
 
NTHS: National Technical Honor Society Note: WCS membership standards are more rigorous than national standards The NTHS (National Technical Honor Society) is an organization that recognizes CTE students who are successfully making progress toward becoming CTE "completers". To be eligible for membership, students must have successfully completed at least 3 courses (one of which must be a * - second level course) within a program of study (see Career Clusters). Students must have earned a 3.25 unweighted GPA, have demonstrated exemplary character and decision making abilities, and have good attendance and discipline records.
Frequency of club meetings 
 
I speak with students individually. In addition, I use Canvas as a way to communicate to the members without having to meet.
Cost to join. 
 
The one-time membership fee is $30. Included will be a custom certificate, custom black tri-fold portfolio, member ID card, member pin, diploma seal, window decal, white graduation tassel with the NTHS drop, and access to print general letters of recommendation with the current date. Additional benefits include three custom letters of recommendation and eligibility to apply for scholarships!
