Students: You MUST submit an attendance appeal if you have accumulated more than 6 absences in a class (see Board policy 4400 at www.wilkescountyschools.org by clicking the headline above). In order to begin the appeals process, you must write a "statement of appeal." This statement can be handwritten or typed and must include the reasons for your attendance policy violation. These letters need to be turned in to the front office. You only need to submit one letter of appeal (if you have missed more than 6 days in multiple classes, please be sure to include that in your letter). Once you have submitted a letter, the committee will begin to review your case. In order for an appeal to be granted, you must be passing the course and have all make up time completed. Otherwise, you will not receive credit.
Make up time sessions are available every Thursday afternoon from 3:30-5:00 in the media center.
