Conference Basketball Tournament

West Wilkes will host Round 1 of the Conference Basketball Tournament on Thursday, February 13. The Girl's play North Wilkes first at 6:00 followed by the Boy's, who will play East Wilkes. The remainder of the tournament will be played at North Wilkes on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of next week.

Online Registration for Spring Sports

Click the headline above to register to participate in a sport this spring. Spring sports practice can begin on Wednesday, Feb. 12. All athletes must have the online forms complete in order to try out and/or participate. Athletes must also have a current physical on file at the school. There will be a mandatory meeting on Mon. Feb.10 for parents of athletes participating in the spring. This meeting is required by the NCHSAA. The meeting will be in the cafeteria at 7:00 following the Open House.

February WCC CCP Student of the Month

J. Cortez-Rayas has been selected as the February WCC Career and College Promise student of the month. She is a senior at West Wilkes High School. In her time at West, she will have completed her Business Administration Certificate along with completing 25 credit hours towards her Business Administration degree as she graduates high school. Her educational goals are to achieve her Business Administration degree at WCC. She is also considering doing the 2 plus BA option with Gardner-Webb University. Her career goal is to open up her on clothing store in Wilkes County. Her hobbies include spending time with her two younger siblings, baking and being outdoors. Cortez-Rayas is the first in her family to go to college. WCC is proud of you, J. Cortez-Rayas, in all of your accomplishments and know that you will succeed in your future endeavors. Congratulations!
